Youngchan Kim has his B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Kyung Hee University, with special focus on Chinese and North Korean Politics. He is currently pursuing a MALD (Master in Arts of Law and Diplomacy) degree at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. Taking part in the Dual Degree Program with the St.Gallen University, he will spend the second year of his graduate studies in Switzerland. Before this graduate program, he worked as a researcher in the Center for Medicine and Korean Unification at Seoul National University, engaging in several research projects including the ‘White Paper on North Korea’s Public Health’. As a person who has been always passionate about finding solutions to the problems in North Korean, particularly the human right issues, he feels fortunate to intern at HRNK and hopes to gain more knowledge and deeper insights about North Korea's human rights issues, especially from the international perspective.
