Research Intern
  • Spring 2018 - Summer 2018

Veenit Singh is an upcoming senior at Rutgers University studying Sociology and International Affairs. At Rutgers, Veenit is a student associate at the Center for Genocide and Human Rights, and a human rights researcher for Rutgers Genocide Atrocity Prevention Project (GAP). He has a strong interest in human rights and international policy. His passion for these subjects led him to HRNK to be able to learn how to prevent future atrocities and to be able to contribute to advocacy on current ones. His independent study project for Rutgers in the fall will shine light on the prison camps in North Korea and discuss the international response to the situation. He wants to gain more information on the regime in North Korea and understand the policies of the international community at HRNK. In the future, he hopes to become a human rights researcher and policy analyst in order to find resolutions and prevent atrocities.
