Research Intern
  • Winter 2020 - Spring 2020

Taeoh Yang is an undergraduate student at Pusan National University(South Korea) majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Global issues. He supported the 2019 ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit (ARCS) by advertising the ARCS and assisting with the events. He had the opportunity to teach cross-cultural children for 6 months in 2018 and volunteered with children in India in 2019. These experiences sparked his interest in human rights. Furthermore, he studied international politics and global issues, especially North Korea, at the ASAN institution. Looking forward to working on North Korea’s human rights problems with HRNK, he would like to learn more about human right issues in North Korea. With broader views on North Korean issues and an international perspective, he would like to gain a comprehensive understanding of human rights issues.
