Soojung Christy Sung

Research Intern
  • Winter 2013 - Spring 2013

Soojung Christy Sung is currently a junior undergraduate student with an International Affairs major and a concentration in conflict resolution at the Elliot School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. Her trip to Zambia, Africa to promote a campaign against sex-traffiking in 2008 was the key influence for her to become highly interested in human rights in underdeveloped or isolated countries. Her love for Korea and her passion to seek to protect human rights in North Korea specifically brought her to HRNK. Through this experience, she hopes to expand her knowledge in human rights and gain a better understanding of North Korea. She plans to continue to pursue her passion for human rights and go to law school to eventually work for international human rights NGOs.
