Research Intern
  • Summer 2014 - Autumn 2014

Shawn Lee currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Notre Dame. He became interested in North Korean human rights because of its relevance to his Korean background and his concern for issues of international development. He chose to intern with HRNK because he believes its work can be the solution to not just a North Korea with fewer human rights infractions, but a North Korea with freedom and accountability. He hopes to use his experience at HRNK as a guide for his future work with intergovernmental organizations to combat similar issues of international human rights violations.
