Robert Michael Hicks is currently a fourth-year at the University of Virginia, pursuing both a B.A. in History concentrated in South Asia and a Master’s degree in Teaching. With his academic focus on South Asia and his interest in education, he hopes to not only expand his understanding of the nation, human rights violations, and role of the global community, but participate in meaningful outreach that will work to end human rights violations both in North Korea and elsewhere in the world. After completing his internship, Robert hopes to pursue a career as an educator abroad, with a continued commitment to human rights activism.
