Research Intern and Events Coordinator
  • Summer 2012 - Summer 2012

Rachel Jung is a rising senior at American University, majoring in International Studies and specializing in International Politics. Prior to college, she spent two years of her high school career in South Korea which enabled her to develop an interest in North Korea’s government and human rights abuses. She has since continued to be attentive to the country’s human rights violations, and has engaged in some events dedicated to raise awareness of the issue. Her previous professional experiences include translating for FH (Food for the Hungry) and interning on Capitol Hill for Senator Baucus. She hopes her future career will involve contributing to protect North Korean escapees, or providing aid to North Korean refugees.
