Nathan Choe is an undergraduate student majoring in Political Science and Diplomacy at Kookmin University. As a Korean, he has always been interested in inter-Korean relations, military, and economic security. Recently, he has developed an interest in economic security based on food and resources.
During his undergraduate studies, he took a course on international human rights and conducted research on the Kosovo crisis, which sparked his interest in global human rights issues. He also worked on youth entrepreneurship policy research at the Bareun Party’s Youth Policy Research Institute during the 19th presidential election in South Korea. Additionally, he gained experience in private diplomacy by collaborating with young talents from Asia through his involvement in international organizations.
As an intern at HRNK, he aims to gain new perspectives on North Korea's human rights violations, security threats, and economic policies toward South Korea, the United States, and other countries. In the future, he hopes to work in the field of international politics and human rights, seeking solutions to various global issues, including the North Korean problem. He also aspires to become a military intelligence analyst to contribute to national security.
