Research Intern and Translator
  • Summer 2012 - Winter 2013

Miran Song is currently a senior undergraduate student with a Political Science and Diplomacy major at KyungHee University in South Korea. She is also a participant of the WEST Program, which is a language study and internship program supported by the Korean government and has been implemented by the Memorandum of Understanding between the US and Korean governments. Her strong interests in human rights led her to study English and choose her current major. She has particular interest in human rights in North Korea after reading a book about the North Korean people’s desperate reality (especially, famine.)  Through this internship, she hopes to learn more about North Korea in detail and contribute to the improvement of human rights in North Korea as she plans to work at international human rights NGOs.
