Micah Hansen was able to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in South Korea. While there, he was able to learn the language and culture of the Korean people. This is what sparked his interest about the Korean people overall and he wanted to pursue an internship to become more affiliated with the North Korean people. He hopes that HRNK can help him on his journey to learn more about North Korea, and help him progress in the language. He will be going to BYU Idaho in April, with a plan to study foreign relations, and minor in Korean. He sees this internship as a gateway into those fields.
