Matt Parsons is currently a senior Government and Politics major at the University of Maryland, College Park. As Vice President of UMD’s Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) chapter, Matt has devoted much of his undergraduate career to human rights advocacy on behalf of North Korea and Burma. His interest in human rights has led him to pursue a Minor in International Development and Conflict Management, as well as a minor in Korean studies. Previously he has studied at Yonsei University in Seoul, and at the KORUS House at the Korean Embassy in Washington, D.C. After graduating this May, Matt hopes to develop a career devoted to advancing the movement for human rights in Asia.
Successful applicants will undergo a formal interview process before being offered an internship. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend that applicants apply at least 3 months prior to their anticipated start date. Internships are typically unpaid, but academic credit is honored.
