Lilli Duberstein is a fourth-year undergraduate at Princeton University, where she is majoring in History with minors in Medieval Studies, Russian Eastern European and Eurasian Studies, and History and the Practice of Diplomacy. Her academic interests include international law and the history of foreign affairs, with areas of focus in 20th-century Eastern Europe and the USSR, and historical and contemporary DPRK policy. Lilli will be conducting thesis research on the historic relationship between the DPRK and USSR. At Princeton, Lilli is an Undergraduate Student Fellow with the Center for International Security Studies.
Lilli has also studied at Yonsei University where she took classes on North Korean Human Rights and the UN. Prior to Princeton, Lilli briefly studied in Shanghai, and worked remotely for professors and students at Seoul National University. As a research intern at HRNK, Lilli is looking forward to continuing to deepen her knowledge of North Korea and join the effort to promote research about these essential humanitarian and security issues.
