Research Intern and Media Monitor
  • Winter 2013 - Spring 2013

Kyle Johnson is a first-year graduate student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He received his B.A. in Political Science and Communications from the University of North Dakota. Between studies, Kyle worked as a journalist for community newspapers, worked as a writer and researcher for former U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan, and taught English in Gwangju, South Korea.

His time in Korea led to a personal interest in the situation in North Korea today, and the realization that the work of organizations such as HRNK can make a meaningful difference in the lives of millions of people. After completing his M.A. degree in 2014, Kyle plans to pursue a career in diplomacy.
