  • Summer 2020 - Winter 2020

Junsoung “Steve” Kim is a recent graduate student from Augusta University, where he received his Master of Public Administration. Junsoung has actively worked in political campaign teams for Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s and as a Korea Spokesperson for the former Georgia 12th district congressional candidate Eugene Yu.

In 2014, Junsoung had a chance to meet some North Korean defectors at one of the churches in South Korea. After he heard the heartbreaking and incredible testimonies from them, he has gained much interest in the issue of human rights violations in North Korea.

Junsoung wishes to establish a nonprofit organization in the near future that handles the Korean Peninsula conflicts and the geopolitical issues between the Pacific and Northeast Asia. He wishes to take part in bringing positive changes in North Korea for his future career.
