Junmin Cha an undergraduate student at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Seoul, South Korea). She is currently studying International Economics and Law.

Her interests are focused on international politics and relations. These interests were developed through mentorship under the executives of the Korean branch of the Raytheon company for 2 years. The company specialized in defense, civil government, and cybersecurity solutions. She became passionate about human rights while living and working with North Korean defectors in University, leading her to an Internship at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, South Korea. She not only worked on events involved with North Korean defectors, but also aided in coordinating high-profile events including a POTUS visit. Right after the internship, she went to SUNY Oswego to continue pursuing her passion in international affairs and took courses in international studies.

She would like to utilize all her experience and knowledge to help achieve the Committee’s mission.

Through HRNK, she hopes to gain deeper insight into human rights as well as seek new experiences that will help in her future career.

Internship Application

Successful applicants will undergo a formal interview process before being offered an internship. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend that applicants apply at least 3 months prior to their anticipated start date. Internships are typically unpaid, but academic credit is honored. A minimum commitment of 20 working hours per week is preferred. Please upload your documents in the .doc format.
