John (Jung Huan) Kim graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Santa Barbara. His interest in human rights began with an internship at Liberty in North Korea (LiNK). After interacting with North Korean defectors, he was inspired to pursue his interest in the North Korean human rights crisis. As an intern at HRNK, he hopes to gain better knowledge in regards to human rights issues in North Korea. His research interests include human rights in North Korea, inter-Korean relations, and US-Korea relations.

Internship Application

Successful applicants will undergo a formal interview process before being offered an internship. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend that applicants apply at least 3 months prior to their anticipated start date. Internships are typically unpaid, but academic credit is honored. A minimum commitment of 20 working hours per week is preferred. Please upload your documents in the .doc format.
