Jinny Ahn holds a MA in International Affairs from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs, with a focus on International Law and Organizations and Conflict Resolution. She received her BA in Global Studies and History from Lehigh University, and spent one year abroad at Yonsei University, studying Korean history and social change. She has a strong interest in the topics of global governance, international law, human rights, and conflict resolution. As part of her graduate studies, she studied human rights vis-à-vis international law and conflict. She was also exposed to topics including human trafficking, leadership, post-conflict stabilization missions, and Asian security. Through her work at HRNK, she aims to gain a deeper understanding on North Korean human rights issues as well as the underlying policies and leadership dynamics that support the regime. She hopes to utilize her experiences at HRNK to build a solid foundation for a career as a policy researcher and analyst in the fields of international law and global governance.
