Jack Maerz

Research Intern
  • Spring 2018 - Summer 2018

Jack Maerz attends the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and will be graduating in May 2019 with a degree in International Affairs and Public Administration. During his time in Athens, Jack developed a keen interest in national security issues and studied nonproliferation closely as part of the Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program. Upon graduation, Jack hopes to obtain a job studying and improving national security policies that are viable alternatives to kinetic warfare. Further in the future, he wants to receive his Master’s degree and possibly apply to the Foreign Service. Jack hopes that during his time at HRNK he can observe policy proposals that would simultaneously improve the human rights conditions in North Korea and lead to greater global security.
