Hayne Park

Research Intern
  • Spring 2019 - Summer 2019

Hayne is currently a student at Johns Hopkins University, and she plans on majoring in international studies and minoring in economics. Her interest for North Korean human rights issue began in 2016, when she interned at Save North Korea. She translated North Korean defectors' testimonies and petitions, and wrote letters for the organization's fundraising campaign. As a South Korean ambassador at Discuss for Change, Hayne also supported student awareness and discussion of global issues by researching and publishing online articles such as "Who will save the North Koreans?," which furthered her interest in North Korea.

Hayne is especially interested in  human rights issue in North Korea, and plans going to law school to pursue a career in an international organization which deals with human rights and legal issues. As a summer intern at HRNK, she plans on deepening her knowledge about the human rights situation in North Korea and learning about what she can do to help North Koreans.
