
Hannah Hargraves is a junior at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Korean and Political Science, with a History minor and an Asian Studies certificate. On campus, she is involved with the Beatrice Institute, Choose Life, City of Bridges Journal, Policy & Political Review, Reformed University Fellowship, Veritas Forum, and the Pitt-Myanmar Education Initiative.
She was introduced to North Korean human rights issues through Liberty in North Korea and Dr. Scarlatoiu’s Yonsei course, The UN, International Civil Society, and North Korean Human Rights. Her research interests include religious freedom, women’s health, and US-Asia relations.
Before the HRNK internship, she interned with the Royal Thai Embassy and studied abroad at Yonsei University. Post-grad, she plans to work overseas at a nonprofit and then pursue a degree in international law to prepare her for a foreign service career.
