Hangyun Kim finished his BA in International Affairs with Security Policy concentration at the George Washington University in May 2018, and lived in Beijing for more than 10 years. Prior to joining the HRNK team, Hangyun has expanded insights from previous professional experiences at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), Deloitte, two law firms, and the Korean Embassy in Uruguay. As a grandson of a Korean War refugee, Hangyun strongly believes it is our manifest destiny to act against atrocious human rights violations committed by the most repressive regime in the world, and hopes to further analyze the underlying global power game surrounding the Korean peninsula. Hangyun is preparing for his law school education to practice law mostly pertaining to North Korea and China, and is convinced that the experiences at the HRNK will provide a solid foundation as a lawyer.
