Research Intern
  • Autumn 2015 - Winter 2015

Ha Lim (Daniel) Choi is currently pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations at Yonsei University. Throughout high school, Daniel attended KCC events (Korean Church Coalition), advocating for the human rights of North Korean refugees and defectors on Capitol Hill. Since then, his deeply rooted interest in North and South Korean relations spurred his decision to pursue higher education in South Korea. Through his time in Dr. Bong Youngshik's class and his parents' social advocacy work in North Korea, Daniel's interest in the human rights, security, and working conditions of the North Korean people became the forefront of his career aspirations. During his time at HRNK, Daniel hopes to develop the knowledge and skills to contribute to the eventual proliferation and reunification of the Korean Peninsula.
