Eunkyung Woo graduated with a B.A in Korean Law from Chung Ang University in South Korea and received her Master of Laws at Handong International Law School (HILS) in December, 2014. Before entering law school, she joined a church community in Seoul with North Korean defectors for several years. Through her relationships with them, she came to understand the human right issues in North Korea. At HILS, she was engaged in the Legal Association for North Korean Human Right and Development (LANK), involving campaigns, research, publications, and seminars on human right issues in North Korea. She also interned for Justice for North Korea in the winter of 2013. She joined several campaigns and advocacy groups in Europe to report on the difficulties of the victims of the KAL hijacking in 1969 and to disseminate information about the human right violations in North Korea during the Universal Periodic Review of North Korea in May 2014 in Geneva.

Internship Application

Successful applicants will undergo a formal interview process before being offered an internship. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend that applicants apply at least 3 months prior to their anticipated start date. Internships are typically unpaid, but academic credit is honored.
