Eric Yoon is a junior at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He was born and raised in Gwacheon, South Korea and emigrated to the U.S. with his family six years ago. At Vassar, he is currently majoring in English with a correlate in analytic philosophy. He plans to pursue a career in administration and management consulting, and is particularly interested in government, health, and performing arts organizations. He is also interested in creative writing, higher education, public policy, and public infrastructure development at large. Classical music is a big passion of his and he regularly hosts piano concerts at Vassar and other local venues. During his internship period at HRNK, he hopes to learn more about the human rights issues in North Korea and broaden his perspective on evolving or devolving diplomatic relations between countries as well as the international community’s approach to addressing those concerns.
