Research Intern
  • Summer 2016 - Summer 2016

Elizabeth Chu received her dual Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, San Diego. Her interest in the Korean Peninsula grew during her semester abroad at Yonsei University, where she took courses in North Korean politics and society. She served as a staff member in her campus' Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) organization, coordinating campaigns and events to raise funds for refugees. Elizabeth is deeply interested in learning about the systemic human rights violations suffered by North Koreans, and how they are perceived by members of the international community to create effective policy changes, during her time at HRNK. She plans to obtain her Master's degree in social welfare and public policy, specifically pertaining to refugees.
