Dong Keun Lee is a recent law school graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration in public international law. Here, he led a student organization that trained law students to teach international humanitarian law in the area’s high school. He gained hands-on work experience analyzing cases of ad hoc international criminal tribunals for litigation purposes, researching issues relating to business and human rights, and drafting legal memos while working for a public interest law firm in Washington D.C. He was a legal intern last spring and two summers ago. Among his areas of interest is North Korea, with an emphasis on human rights, peace on the Korean Peninsula, and Korean reunification through the lens of international law. He volunteered with Good Friends, a research institute for North Korean society since 2008. He studied international relations at Seoul National University and served in the U.S. Army Provost Marshal Office.

Internship Application

Successful applicants will undergo a formal interview process before being offered an internship. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend that applicants apply at least 3 months prior to their anticipated start date. Internships are typically unpaid, but academic credit is honored.
