Research Intern
  • Summer 2016 - Summer 2016

Chloe Sherliker is currently an undergraduate student at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. As a student of Korean, she gained interest in the North Korean human rights issue through related lectures at her university and by attending events at NGOs in her spare time. In order to learn more about the human rights violations in North Korea, she visited the DMZ border and took modules relating to North Korea at Sogang University whilst studying the Korean language in Seoul as an exchange student. Through this internship, Chloe hopes to learn more about the oppression of human rights, particularly in relation to female North Korean defectors in China. After graduating, Chloe plans to obtain a Master's degree in Reunification Studies.
