Research Intern
  • Winter 2023 - Spring 2023

Cherise Kim is a junior at Johns Hopkins University majoring in International Studies and Political Science with a minor in East Asian Studies. She is passionate about civil and human rights, public policy, law, and using the intersections of these fields to improve social and political conditions for people across the world. She has pursued these interests professionally through internships with numerous organizations in fields such as immigration, civil rights advocacy, and international development.

As a Korean-American and a student of international politics, she has long held an interest in the history of the Korean Peninsula and its role in international affairs. Through interning with HRNK, she hopes to learn more about the human rights field and how to be an effective advocate for people living under repression.
