Caroline Welling studied Law at The University of Bristol with a focus on International Relations and Human Rights. She spent a gap year in the US, where she campaigned for the Human Rights Campaign. Campaigning and working on social policy issues related to human rights eventually led her to pursue human rights activism at University. She joined Amicus and Amnesty International and held protests against Chad's prison and legal system. Following her academic studies, she pursued a number of internships that focused predominantly on legal advocacy and global human rights violations. Caroline has written various reports to UN bodies on human rights violations in the Middle East during her internships in London and New York City. Caroline's goal is to become a human rights lawyer for a non-governmental organisation and is excited to expand her knowledge on global affairs and human rights violations in North Korea during her internship with HRNK.
