Camilla Gullbrekken graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology and African Studies from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and will continue her graduate studies next fall. After pursuing her undergraduate degree, she studied Peace and Conflict Studies in India and Global Environmental Management in Ghana. She also interned with the United Nations in Ghana and in Japan. It was in Japan that her interest in North Korea started to grow. After visiting Pyongyang, she realized the amount of attention North Korea needed and decided to do an internship with HRNK. She hopes to increase the awareness of the human rights violations in North Korea.
