Brian Kim

Research Intern
  • Autumn 2012 - Winter 2012

Brian Kim is currently a second year undergraduate student studying International Studies at American University. He became interested in North Korean reunification and human rights issues after reading firsthand accounts of North Korean human rights abuses and its oppressive regime. He plans to study abroad at Yonsei University next fall to gain insight on Korean perspectives of North Korea and to also practice his Korean language skills. At HRNK, he hopes to learn about and contribute to academic research on North Korean human rights, refine and understand the problems and solutions on Korean reunification, and increase knowledge of behind-the-scenes work of related non-governmental organizations in Washington D.C.
