Research Intern
  • Winter 2024 - Spring 2024

Ashley Park, a third-year student at Carnegie Mellon University, is pursuing an interdisciplinary major in Professional Writing and Art. Her exploration of the intricate politics of North Korea began during an introductory course at Yonsei University, sparking a profound interest in humanitarian equity, particularly for North Korean defectors. As a Korean-American immigrant with firsthand experience living below the 38th parallel, Ashley is motivated to delve deeper into research and advocacy for North Korean rights.

Post-graduation, Ashley envisions furthering her education in law school, with a focus on international and immigration law. Her goal is to make a direct impact on the lives of those in her community.
