Andrew Ahn has his B.A. in Philosophy from New York University, with a concentration in ethics and a minor in politics. During his studies of Kim Jong-un’s succession, Andrew became interested in North Korea and its government’s human rights violations. Andrew has since followed the developments of the Kim Jong-un regime closely and wrote philosophical papers regarding the moral roles of political institutions, including that of North Korea. Andrew’s studies of ethics and political philosophy have inspired him to seek a career with an ethical foundation and he aspires to become a civil rights attorney. Andrew plans to attend law school in the next year. As a member of HRNK, Andrew hopes to continue his passion for human rights and ethics in a more professional setting and hopes to gain knowledge on the role of the international community in human rights concerns.
