AU Korean Student Association is excited to announce our first annual AU Korea Forum on the topic of North Korea, the Korean Penninsula and the future of the U.S- ROK Alliance with special guest speakers: South Korean Ambassador Ahn Ho-Young and SIS Dean Louis Goodman. Dean Louis Goodman serves as Professor and Dean Emeritus of the School of International Service at American University. He has been the president of The Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA) and has directed the Latin America Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
Ambassador Ahn Ho-Young was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the United States of America by Madame President Park Geun-Hye in May 2013. He served as First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade from February 2012 to May 2013. Ambassador Ahn graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in political science and received his Master’s degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
